Haiti: Clashes erupt as protesters attempt to march on president's home

Police fired tear gas on protesters during the latest round of anti-government demonstrations in Port-au-Prince on Friday. Activists demanded President Jovenel Moise resign amid an economic and political crisis.

Footage shows tires on fire, streets filled with tear gas as well as confrontations between riot police and the protesters. According to reports, the clashes broke out when police stopped demonstrators from marching on the home of President Moise.

The latest protest was triggered by the killing of a prominent journalist who had covered the country’s crisis.
